The Emergency First Aid at Work course is for the participant to attain knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations. This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to provide appropriate care and manage life-threatening conditions, minor illness and injuries. Participants will have the knowledge and skills required to provide Emergency First Aid in an occupational setting in a prompt, safe and effective manner to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid Regulations.
COURSE CONTENT:
By the end of the course, participants will:

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider

Be able to assess an incident

Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding

Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock

Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
