Why choose North Care Training’s First Aid Training?

North Care Training Emergency First Aid at Work courses are accredited with a nationally recognised level 3 qualification. All other First Aid qualifications are also accredited, internally verified and externally moderated.

Awareness of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use comes as standard:

Since 2014 the HSE announced that AED training is not required to be delivered part of Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work courses. North Care Training (NCT) ensures that AED training is incorporated in the courses provided; which is good practice according to the Health and Safety Executive as the additional training should ensure learner aptitude in using these lifesaving devices and remember this being part of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (HSE, 2018).

The latest state of the art Qualsafe® Choking vests are used in our First Aid training.

These are particularly effective psychomotor activities; because, the choking vest ensures health and safety during the training as the padded areas can be used without fear of injury during practical demonstrations. In addition, the red colour of the choking vest – padded areas make visual observation more effective. This also helps the Trainer assess demonstrated techniques such as the Back slaps and Heimlich manoeuvre are completed correctly.

Also, we provide quality, contemporary, First Aid booklets with any of our First Aid training*. The learner can refresh their memory after the training. We know that Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work expire after 3 years. Annual refresher training can be provided by NCT at a reduced cost ensuring learners are up to date with the latest First Aid methods and making your organisation a safer and healthier working environment with more qualified and competent First Aiders.

*The type of First Aid booklets will depend on the accredited qualification provider used.
